Topper 94 I got 78, gap in percent
Gap is 16 points if both are percents. This is not a rank list. Same unit in both boxes.
Topper 94. You 78. Gap 16. Your brain turns 16 into a personality. It is 16 points. Rank would need the full list. You dont have the full list, you have a rumour 94. MarkBoard gap tool is for that rumour. Same unit both sides. 78 percent vs 470 marks is garbage in.
Which box you actually fill
Rank Gap Simple. Yours, then topper. Result is gap points and how many percent of the topper number you are. If a number is still in a screenshot gallery, type from the marksheet, not from the screenshot crop that cut the total.
Numbers I ran so you can copy the habit
Try these in Rank Gap Simple and see the same shape of result.
- 78 and 94 → gap 16, you are 82.98% of that topper number
- 470 and 564 marks also works if both are marks
- 78 and 78 → gap 0, rare peace
- 94 and 78 swapped → negative gap, you typed yourself as topper
Write your own under them. Same boxes, your marks. Dont stop at reading my examples like they are your gazette.
Where people mess it
Comparing your best of five 78 with their all-six 94. Not the same recipe. Also using pretest 94 against board 78. A second classic: mixing marks of two different exams in one percent. Preboard plus board is two percents. Improvement plus original is a policy question, not a blend.
Gap vs topper is not cutoff. Cutoff is a college list. Different article. Dont mix envy maths with admission maths.
What this number is not
It is not a college seat. It is not a scholarship cheque. It is not CBSE or NTA speaking. Rank Gap Simple on MarkBoard is arithmetic with the labels on the page. Rank lists, grace, moderation, detained lists, they live on other notice boards.
Before you send it to a human
Say the formula in one line when you paste. Obtained over total, or CGPA times multiplier, or present over conducted. Humans fight less when the recipe is visible. If they have a circular, the circular wins. This is an estimate. Your board formula may differ.
16 points can close next year or not. The tool only measures this sheet.
I keep MarkBoard bookmarked because the panic is always the same shape. A number, a missing number, a relative who wants a percent. Open Rank Gap Simple, fill the boxes that match the paper in your hand, read the yellow Calculate result, read the small estimate line, then go back to the circular. That is the whole loop. Do it again when a new paper lands. Dont reuse last week screenshot if totals changed.
Tiny checklist I actually use
Phone brightness up. Marksheet photo uncropped. Obtained first, total second, unless the tool labels it different. Yellow Calculate once. If the result is over 100 or a CGPA over 10 without cap, I did a box swap. If attendance, I say out loud present and conducted so I dont type 75 as present. If two papers remaining, remaining max is the sum of those totals. If parents are watching, I say the recipe before the number so they dont remix it. Then I close the tab. The number is not going to improve because I stare.
A note on English on this page
Site is English only. I still think in mixed language at home. The boxes dont care. Dont translate marks. 450 is 450. Dont type words in the number field. And dont paste a board name hoping the tool will switch formula. It will not. Formula is on the tool page in one line. Read that line once even if you hate reading.
Pass 1 on Rank Gap Simple: I empty one box on purpose to see the tool refuse or skip, then I fill it correct. That little refuse saves the 140 percent text to relatives. Title of this note was "Topper 94 I got 78, gap in percent" because that is the search I typed the year I needed it, not because a marketing person named it.
